April Fools!

On April Fools’ Day yesterday, we unveiled that the fictional politician, Frank Underwood, had created a profile on PoliticalBank. It shouldn’t be that surprising; PoliticalBank offers many tools to help candidates win their elections, and as we House of Cards fans know, Frank does everything he can to get ahead.

Learn more about how PoliticalBank is bringing politics into the 21st century. Then, create you voter profile to connect with real candidates. Running for office? Create your very own candidate profile.

New Volunteer Feature

output_UxX8wPUnless you’re running for office on a desert island, your campaign needs support from other people. Those folks can be your family and friends, but you’ll likely need to cast a wider net and recruit some volunteers. They can be vital to your campaign’s success.

We’re excited to announce a powerful new feature that is currently available for all the candidates on our platform: the Volunteer button! Your supporters can sign-up as a Voter on PoliticalBank and then easily sign up to volunteer for you directly from your candidate profile via the Volunteer button. From your candidate dashboard under Tools, click Volunteers to see who has signed up, as well as their email addresses.

Haven’t created your free PoliticalBank candidate profile yet? Sign up now!

Did you know you can share a candidate’s PoliticalBank profile? Using the link just below a candidate’s “Volunteer” button, you can share on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or email as an attachment.

You can also share or email a candidate’s position using the link on the candidate’s Position Card.

The “share feature” is useful for candidates who want to expand their reach using social media or by sending to an email distribution list. On every position is a “Donate Now” button, which means candidates can raise money – literally – on the issues.

Voters also share candidates/positions they like (or dislike) – or simply to start a conversation about someone or something they said. We’re not trying to replace existing communication channels; rather, we just want to give you a hip new microphone leveraging those that already exist.

Set up your Donation Account!

As you know, PoliticalBank was created to make the political process easier and more modern for candidates and voters alike. We are constantly striving to provide better tools for campaigns, and we think anyone running for office will be as excited as we are about our latest update: Online fundraising is now available to candidates for free!

That’s right, no more cost or upgrading to get access to raising money online on PoliticalBank. All candidate profiles now include a DONATE button for supporters to contribute monetarily. After creating your candidate profile, all you have to do is set up your donation account. Here’s how:

 Sign in to your account

Click    at the top right

OR on mobile, click  then Candidate Profile

From your Candidate Dashboard, click
OR on mobile, click    then Donations

This feature is powered by Stripe, one of the safest and most used payment firms, so the process is seamless for both you and donors. We just collect a competitive 5.4% fee per transaction. We also make filling out finance reports a breeze by displaying data neatly on your Dashboard, so you can focus winning your election! (Psst, while you’re setting up your donation account, also make sure to complete your profile, including taking stances on at least three key issues!)

If you have any questions about this announcement, or if there’s anything we can do to help you get the most out of PoliticalBank, please feel free to contact us.
